Unsure

I sit here staring at my screen.

You just a click of the mouse,

And typing some text away.

I can get you to respond so quickly.

I send you something funny,

And I can hear the laughter in your words.

I send you an article that I think that you would like,

And you always respond with something that shows me that you have read it.

I send you something sad,

And I can hear your heart breaking from 900 miles away.

I can pick up the phone and call you,

And you always answer right away.

We chat, and complain about things,

But never anything to deep.

I got off of the plane last week,

Finally got to see you after 8 months.

The snow was coming down,

It took forever to get to my hotel.

We talked about things that I have never talked with anyone about.

My hopes, my dreams, and my insecurities.

Then you dropped me off,

And I desperately wanted for you to stay.

I wanted to ask you to kiss me.

What would you have said?

I guess that I will never know,

As I would never ask.

If you asked me the same,

What would I do? The truth is, I am unsure.
