Unsure of how to express

Unsure of how to express these emotions

Fires burn in my mind

and oceans churn within me

A storm is brewing

I just want to know more

The fires dim and begin to die

and the oceans waves begin to lessen

I soon will be nothing of the person I once was

But then things changed

I begin to write

Lines and stanzas begin to flow out

all of it coming out onto the page.

Things are coming together

The fire begins to grow.

The waves begin to grow again

Wave after wave crashing into the shore

Each one providing new information.

The fire powering the will to learn

Poem after poem coming out over and over

all of which holding a different part of me.

I was becoming who I was meant to be

I became me.
