Untapped
My veins pulse with potential
Untapped.
I feel every beat,
every word,
every thought.
Whether they are said aloud
or whether they are not.
I don't go quietly into the still blue air
I fight to stay ahead
of the shadows and despair.
Lonely sorrows wallowing in the night
I can force them down
Taking one last bite.
But it only lasts as long as you believe
in second chances
and magic up a sleeve
There's so much there
But trouble to see
In the end
It's a debt no longer paid to me.
