Untitled 1.

Im in the car with the boy I love and im trying not to let him know I love him,

im tripping over my words,

emotion bubbling in my chest,

but he leans over and suddenly we’re too close

and I can feel it tumbling out of me as if someone had taken a hammer

and broken the glass holding me together.

I’m scared,

so scared as the street lights shine into the car,

illuminating the sweet soft smile in his eyes,

as I’m strewn across the leather seats,

trying to place myself together.

Yet his presence soaks into me

and I remind myself that he hasn’t escaped yet.

Im in the car with the boy I love

and somehow,

he loves me just as much as I love him.
