Untitled 1

Reach for the sky and pull it down

Hold heads above water trying not to drown

We want bigger, better, bolder

I feel my heart getting colder

As I grow older

My world begins to smolder

Suddenly a firey display before me

Do your best not to weep

Even when you cannot sleep

The monsters hear your cries in the night

Even if you can't wake up

You still must take up arms and prepare to fight

Battles in your mind

Battles in your life

I know how hard it is my love

But please, put down the knife

Pain won't make you heal

Although it makes you feel

Sometimes like you're whole again

Drop your weapons now

Bury them in the ground

Before they take you first
