untitled

I wanted to write about you With structure or rhyme, or even a prose About my gravitation to your soul And the bones that enclose Each little detail from top to bottom, Feet to nose, head to toes Fragments of skin, freckles and scars, Tell each path walked and exactly how far The soles of your feet, bumps of your knees, How you used to live and do as you please Your eyes a gateway to intentions inside a beautiful heart and a wonderful mind Each mark and atom is exactly what I wished I could find The notch of your elbow, the bumps of your spine, The feel of your lips when placed on mine... My favorite scent, my favorite embrace, Your fingers in mine, your kisses my choice of taste... No rhyme or rhythm could ever withstand the warmth that I feel when I'm holding your hand.
