untitled
Blue sky
Green grass
Jagged gravel
Broken glass
Burning buildings
Babbling brooks
Stony silence
Innocent looks.
People go
And people stay
But all I do
Is run away.
Letting go
Is what I do
When anyone
Starts coming through
To depend
On Someone new
Is simply asking
To be rescued
I don't need them
These "other friends"
I can stand here
And play pretend.
To act as if
My sky Is blue
My brooks are babbling
My heart is true.
I can be
Whoever I need
To play that part
To stand and lead
But maybe one day
The ice will melt
I will accept
Emotions felt.
