Laying here, delighting in the warmth of the sun You made

Receiving Your tender kisses as the rays hug the backs of my legs

These sticks that I walk on

These soles that give me balance

As I lay here there’s no need for balance

There’s an equilibrium here

Caused simply by the coexistence of You and I

It’s gets no better than this

But if You were to leave…

Just don’t.

Those other ones, they came and left

They drew the lock and out they crept

Not turning back, not thinking twice

But You were wise

Stayed right beside

You wouldn’t leave

‘Cause You were all I could believe

You made me a promise

I’ll never forget

And unlike them

You took to Your guns

Not a day goes by

I don’t feel you there

Always aware

For me You care

You’re all I need.
