Years and years have passed

you would think

it would make sense

for him to dwell

on the woman

she is now rather than

a girl who has grown since then

I was sitting around thinking of someone I thought I knew. I realized how much I still had the hunger to be their friend. I was partly angry with them and partly longing for their friendship.( I was also angry with the child inside of me.) We had a lot of misunderstandings in the past. I thought of how much I wanted them to know how much I've grown into a somewhat different person. A lot can happen in a few years. People don't change but they do grow and learn from their mistakes.
