It's everything I'm not

it's bold and free

Everything I want to be 

And more

I can live out love songs

And triumph over evils like superheros

Poetry is what gets me through tough times and woe

It's stronger than me

It makes me feel empowered

Like i'm the one in control

Even if i'm not

It's the most beautiful lie

The most beautiful dream 

That I never want to awaken from

Poetry is all the words that lay dead on my lips

I write to have a voice
