Untitled #27

I watched a flower grow up

Watched the color come and go

Watched as its petals fell

One by one

Yet I still would tend to it

Nurturing it

Watching for the day when the petals grew back

Watching for the colors to glow vibrantly

One by one

Yet I still longed for it to wither again

The sadness brought memories

Ones that needed to wither like the petals
