Untitled

I thought of you again today.

But I dare not ask you the same.

The way an infant latches to a hand;

A hummingbird serenades;

And the sun sets;

Is how I think of you.

Yet, in the midst of all this,

my Mind is at War.

Just as

A parent disappoints;

A wolf howls;

and a tree withers.

It’s the beautiful pain I feel

When I think of you.

As the hourglass dwindles,

I wonder if you feel the same.

Yet, I dare not ask,

This beautiful pain.
