Untitled

I lie here thinking of words to say
I see a moment
I'm building it slowly
reaching, to hold it
close to me dearly, no more running streets
in search of a door
to welcome me
the outstretched arms are in front of me
I navigate the current through the lines
in the palms of your hands
they point me towards you like
a compass to a ship to land
docked in this clarity
shocked by the power of seeing
versus what it means to truly believe
to see a dream before it's born and hold it
to hear the creak of a door
and enter what's before it
to knock without hesitation and live without regret
not regress on old times
and renegge on old promises
stow them up and wait
for it to explode
like pressure under a bottle cap
I'll check these missions one by one
tap into my instinct
instinct of knowing when to release this arrow and
tackle my ideals
tac them up on the wall
next to deals
open my box
I know what's there
I can wait
cuz I know something better awaits
I can hum on a idea
and let it spread it's wings and fly
even if the ground is dry, no rain
and darkened sky
A storm approaching outside
lurking in the distance
cuz for my fields to grow
I must except feeble existence

I am a poet and artist. I have a great appreciation for music and enjoy singing and playing ukulele. I believe art and music bring communities together. Currently, I am pursuing a psychology degree and hope I can apply that to helping people.
