Untitled

Confronted every day by the simple recurring question

"Who am I?"

For so long I defined myself

By what I do

Rather than who I am.

When the day came that what I did stopped,

Who I thought I was

Came

Crashing

Down.

Who I thought I was ceased to exist.

Who am I now?

I have no action to define my inner self.

No way to tell the world

"This is me! Love me for what I do!"

Who am I?

Maybe I'm caring.

Maybe I'm funny.

Maybe I'm the most passionate person

To have walked this planet.

Maybe I simply

Do

Not

Care.

Then again,

Maybe I do.

Who am I?

Guess I'll just wait

And find out.
