Untitled
My head is throbbing
My feet are unstable
My arms are holding me up
And leaning against the kitchen table
It hit me so hard
It was impossible to expect
I didn't know it would hit me
As hard as it did
How did it get this way
Where had the time gone
How can health change so much
Between dusk and dawn
I see tears
Then I see stars
Filling my vision
Like a tragic explosion
Pain comes so quickly
And unexpectedly
My body freaks out
And yours shuts down
My heart stopped
The moment your breathing did
The moment your father killed you
While standing by your hospital bed
Pen poised of that sheet of paper
One single stroke and your life is gone
You're death sentence is signed
Without the right of trial
They never understood you
I was one of the few who did
You had a right to life
A right fix the wrongs
A right to another chance
Before the end of the final song
You were never one to give up
And you were one to finish what you start
It's not fair you were pulled
Before the you could finish your art
Your masterpiece
The last part of you
Written on notebook paper
Addressed to someone dear to you
Your final conscious breath
Used to tell me
To be everything you couldn't
To fulfill our dreams
You told me
You loved me
More then all the stars we counted that night
Running away from darkening freight
So from now on
I will not run from the dark
Counting stars quickly
I will go slow and take my time
Fore I never know what will hit me
