Untitled

Here we go again.

Its another black girl

With another old poem

about the police.

Why do we have to hear this again?

I'm sick of hearing hands up don't shoot.

Haven't we moved on the movements mute?

Maybe You're right,

I am another black girl.

But correction,

I am a black woman a young queen,

and

my words will not stop and  my movement will never cease

.

Y'all mad about this poem I'm just trying to survive the police.

In the 1960s,

people were attacked by police for protest.

It was rationalized because it's okay harass oppress and assault a people if they are not as human as you.

If somehow they don't bleed red blood

if the very same things that make you a human somehow don't apply to them.

It makes it OK.

Not much has changed in 50 years. But I don't hate you.

That's too easy that's just like you

I see you like a person.

You are just like me.

Mr. Officer I'm not saying hands up don't shoot i need to say hands out no fear.

Because Im not scared of you.

What you don't understand is that we are fighting the same war I'm just not sure what side you're on.

They say the police are supposed to protect and defend.

There right you do.

You protect each other and defend your egos.

So sorry if your sorry doesn't mean that much to me.

Sorry if there's looting and violence in the streets.

But we have to fight this war.

It can be fought in the courtroom and classrooms and boardrooms.

Or we can burn this whole country down

just destroy it

Together

We have lost so many soldiers along the way.

Oscar Grant Mike Brown Trayvon Martin Erick Gardener.

And I can't breath

young black teens are crushed by the weight of our place in the world.

We know our lives don't mean a much to you.

But from one warrior to the next Mr.officer

when my peoples outcry becomes a global obsession are there actions an image or just  your reflection.
