Untitled

Here I am

writing nothing of importance

in my cozy room

on my laptop

keys clacking under the weight

of my early morning thoughts

my early morning thoughts

that are too insignifigant

for the world to hear.

What if I was someone else

a face at the front of a revolution

a face that could launch a thousand ships

a face that could touch souls

someone that the world wanted to hear

someone that the world was ready to listen to?

If I let ideas flow from my mouth like sweet honey

flow and stick

golden to the touch

will they change the world?

No,

and that's okay.

Because one person can't change the world

without the help of others

one person cannot insight a revolution

without dedicated followers to back them up

one person cannot launch a thousand ships

without someone to find them interesting.

Yes, you can say what you mean

and mean what you say

but without someone to guide you

without something to guide you

you sit alone

on your laptop at two in the morning

writing a poem

Here I am

writing nothing of importance
