Untitled

I am a man,

An American man of African and Hispanic descent,

Our forefathers and foremothers frequencies suggest they are turning circles in their graves and pits.

They dreamt of freedom and we enslave ourselves,

Lightskinned this, darkskinned that.

Which is better?

These Adidas shoes at full retail price? or this Nike visor hat?

Hey for $10.45 an hour, I'll sell you 25 hours of my life!

Just to buy a pair of shoes that take $7 to make.

What will it take?

We don't set ourselves up for success,

We set ourselves up to be lynched.

The blood has been on the leaves for centuries,

We live life fast but lack a sense of urgency.

I too fall victim of the bad trait of being lazy.

Enlightened enough to recognize my mistake and strive for better.

Some pray when it's raining, that their blessings include better weather.

I let the 12 universal laws uncloud my thoughts.

Persecution is the cost for living outside the box.

Ridiculed because you seek more growth.

I took a pledge to see my people successful under oath.
