untitled
we go now
to stars bathed in brown,
placed on hilltop trees
and teardrops shaped like razor blades.
we now stand
among bloody oceans and dusty streets
caked in debris.
do we fight
for the living embodiment of our eyes
when we cannot see?
do we hear or do we feel
when we have no life left?
come but never go;
chasing visions of candied rain
from our innocence
a sound more than silence
drips from the mouths of bears;
poison.
we go now to
lilac water rippling grey,
heads bowed in disbelief;
tragedy they call it,
though it is not.
was this unseen?
flightless wings wrapped in glue;
no sky.
blue sunsets and green clouds wrapped themselves around us.
do we hear or do we feel
when we have no life left?
slopes of silver erode at our touch;
what we leave in our wake is stardust.
