untitled .

life is a highway,

so cliché right?

sometimes I feel like a car racing down the highway of life

like a rocket soaring full speed through the atmosphere,

with no time to catch a glimpse of what is behind.

blasting through time with no time to reflect,

no time to be gracious for the oxygen that gives life,

no time for to be the witness of a seed reaping through the ground,

simply no time.

time seems to move faster than time itself,

no time to feel,

no time to uncover the blindfold,

no time to allow the mind to think,

or the mouth to utter those longing words that are rooted from the mind.

if only there was a way to honor time,

to live in the moment,

understanding there is no tomorrow that is promised.

maybe then,

just maybe once we begin to believe,

truly believe time is precious but never promised.

we will never take time for granted.
