Untitled

A fair smile spreads across her delicate cheek,

for the boy is quick to impress.

Little does she realize his words are bleak

and absent of truth to confess.

The sweet, silly girl is oh but naive,

trusting in each phrase that he utters.

The boy is conniving, making her believe

in each and every lie that he mutters.

Poor, poor girl… too willing to trust

fell in love with the boy’s beautiful words.

When all that truly compelled him was lust,

their love flew away like a bird.

Little did the girl know that the words he had spoken

Would leave her small, fragile heart forever broken.
