Untitled

Our lives in rewind Under a spell Can't change the outcome It's hotter than hell For some its rebellion, acting like hellions Control, the illusion A perfect confusion Will tear us apart Dreams are like missiles Shooting off stars that only seem real when we're sleeping Otherwise, hope is a joke Just a word someone told us to believe in I don't quite make the cut for a cookie cutter mind The nonsense turns us blind to the truth It merely worsens and no one grows The seal of approval succumbs us in our youth Yet, it's love that swears up and down, she can't lie. And yet, it's love that will also divide Put a thorn in the flower of time Forgery is our demise The camera is on, But this ain't supposed to be the Truman show Democracy is expedient We're all taught to be obedient To cover up the lies That demonstrate equality An imaginary truth Clinging to the ruin That is one part social media And the world's exposed like a tragic play  written by Shakespeare I won't end this here But like men in the woods Running from fear, chasing their frustration Over unfulfilled potential Is detrimental to the truth that we can't see with refills of pills over music's healing Life is gravity bound The expectation far outweighs the truth I pour this wisdom From the hollow holes in my heart
