Untitled

Envelop me Take back the hours To the times when the world, Unwilling to help by any other means Poured down on me And let me sink to my knees in wonder Searching for a deity Whispering prayers, becoming suffocated But always bringing a silent answer A sparrow song fleeting as lightning To remind me how alone I was And how that singularity was liberation Swallow me into your chest Keep me close and never let me forget How the stars will always burn Tauntingly far out of my flawed reach How they’ll always shine long after I’ve been forgotten Take me back to those hours and remind me How far I’ve yet to come
