untitled

the things they try to forget

they forget her once she leaves the room

they saw the bruises, the tears, the scars

their guilt erased it - it's gone

they pretended it never happened

they forced it not to exist

without knowing they encouraged the demon

he played with her emotions

he tossed away her smile

they plastered one back on

and tried to forget the stolen one

-

she never stoped crying for help

they just forgot to keep listening
