untitled
she yells at me as you do
Claims it's out of Love
And I’m tired of being hurt in the name of Love
When there is no love present
I’m tired of being a part of a live action movie
I mean the one where she is a horrible actress
Where she pretends to love me
Where she takes me out in public and calls me baby
But then won’t even hug me at home
Just so she can claim my accomplishments
And pretend she loves me
Just so she can hurt me in the name of Love
I’m tired of being love’s puppet
Love has only ever caused me pain
I know that Cupid has his arrow
And he shoots people just so they know what they are getting into
He pulls his string back to his cheek
And tightens his grip
He closes one eye
And shoots you
And he aims for the part he knows will hurt most
Just enough for you to feel it
Not enough to kill you
Only enough to make you feel like you are dying
Just enough to remind you that Love and pain are equals
BUT what does Cupid do if there is no love
Does he look to aim for his target and miss by a foot or two
Because when there is no love Cupid’s glasses don’t work
His contacts start to crack
And now even after using a bow for all of his life
He forgets where he should put his hand
And where the upper limb is
And where the lower limb is
And he forgets where his arrows are supposed to go
See Cupid survives off of Love
So he starts to suffocate
As his angelic wings turn on him
Becoming the devil themselves
They start to suffocate him
Making sure he chokes on something he once relied on
