Untitled

The crashing waves remind me of all my emotions when they come flooding back to me after I thought I've forgotten you. They pull me under, tossing me back-and-forth, taking everything out of me until I'm breathless and have nothing left. I try with all my strength to stay above the water and just keep swimming but you are too strong. I'm tired and breathless but I continue to hold on and fight, if I'm ever going to survive I need to rise above. Even the strongest waves eventually settle and I'll be free and I'll rise with the tide and leave the ocean behind.
