untitled no. 1

This poem was written as a song, for someone who left inexplicably.

"unititled no. 1"

You were so sweet,

looking at the stars with me.

But now I see,

you aren't what you seem to be, anymore.

You were so sweet,

like the sun after a storm,

Now all I see,

is you disinterest in me.

So tell me do you love me, yes or no?

Do I make your knees week, and you eyes glow?

Baby, do you need me in your life?

It'd be nice if you could show me a sign.

You were so sweet,

Writing songs just for me.

But now it's clear,

those songs have probably disappeared.

You were so sweet,

but, when I fell for you, I scraped my knees

on the concrete,

of a one-way street.

So tell me do you love me, yes or no?

Do I make your knees week, and you eyes glow?

Baby, do you need me in your life?

It'd be nice if you could show me a sign.

You were so sweet,

like the milk and honey in my tea.

Some things are just meant to be.

Thought it'd be you and me.
