Untitled On Purpose

Fingers spread across the keyboard Thoughts reach out to emptyness Feelings stretched to make them last Mind lost in the wilderness Night and day left in the past By and by and why and why The broken record plays Breaks and leaps just like my heart Never turns to always Black and black and will not sleep To and true and shallows deep Nonsensical absurdity Splintered, broken melodies Memories I cannot keep Disjointed, mangled harmony And gone Gone to the place that exists for me And me alone And gone Gone to my life the way I see it To show you my life the way I see it Try and try and sigh and sigh And shout the soundless roar That follows me where e'er I go And begs me shout it more I hear the pain and beauty sweet The foolish man's profundity The calmness of the crashing storm The order in a wild swarm The radiance of a simple form The nonexistence of the norm And life
