An Untold Story Inside You

There's a beehive in my heart
whose bees buzz all night
they’ve built honeycombs in my veins
making me as stiff as a tin man with no oil

I bleed honey
and it attracts bears

I don't know how they got there
It might have been the beauty of my daisy spun eyes
or the sweet scented sweat on my skin

and I lie on my pillow and think what could it be
as my eyes pool with nectar and spill over into my ears

then the bears kiss me good night.
