Untouchable

Ecclesiastes 7:3

3 Sorrow is better than laughter,
because sober reflection is good for the heart.

Untouchable

Let it be! Do not touch! It’s not yours at all

You are here to observe and write down reflections

Help me see! Some of such, in answer to my call

Help me understand these forgone impressions

Every soul has a cry rendered by desire

Who is there to show the meaning of this call?

Every goal exposes lies to be tried by fire

How can peace be found these days after all?

Dreams of emptiness will they bring fulfillment?

Desires conformed will they bring happiness?

A conscience asleep will it bring procurement

Into life half-lived … does it forge emptiness?

Feed your face, a daily chore and hours for the taking

Supply management forcing an every day thought

What a race, humanity’s core most of all the faking

In taking all they can get in a continuous onslaught

Where to see hope when eyes are shut and darkness shines like glory

What is there left to say when truth has disappeared?

Who can cope when each word follows “but” as an allegory?

Where then to turn when past the last frontier?

Dreams are only dreams when despair takes over

Whatever has your attention rules the day

How to get away in a pair of loafers

When your feet have been cut from under you? “Afraid?”
