Unuttered Trembles

Mon, 01/20/2014 - 10:44 -- sdnni09

Unuttered trembles are the blade

my hands were born to reach and take

Subconscious threats I make to me

hidden from humanity

Persuaded loneliness, we have

the fear we hide behind our backs

We fool our minds and then our hearts

with lies that make a dull knife sharp

We beg ourselves to keep the pain

to crash and heave ‘gainst tidal waves

So prone to fall: our bodies frail

through sin and shame our minds derail

Like air afloats these icy fears

we feel an en’my presence here

‘Tis not on form we so oft dwell

but thoughts afar that cast the spell

Feeling our pills and like cowards we

Trudge with our backs looking downwardly
