Sun

Boy-- wait for my cue

I can not take

Inconsequential drops of dew

Like tears that run

Down the face of a boy that claims to be the

Sun

The world does not revolve around a forgotten boy

You do not shine like the hot stone ground

You—Withered and dry, your self-proclaimed meaning is a lie

The glare doesn't want you to stick around

When you try so hard to conquer his pride and joy

Stop pretending you’re more than you are

The world does not revolve around a forgotten boy

Son

Light, drop your shades

Put up the certain and leave me alone

For once I wish not to be apart of your charades

Your glare is more harmful than what you think I have begun

Yet you stare at me since I called you

Son
