The Unwanted Farewell
UNSEEN, UNHEARD
All alone you run after thin air
HE doesn't hear your cries
for he's long gone
Despair and disbelief surround you,
choking you, depriving you of happiness,
you hear your friends, family, and neighbors calling out to you
reaching for you.......
but you are behind emotional plexiglass
you can't find your voice or energy to call back
for you used it all for the screaming, pleading, and crying of his name.
The name you associate with joy and happy memories.
Memories that you hold onto with all your being.
sooner or later you will look back and realize
this is what they meant when they spoke.
It snuck up on you without warning.
THE UNWANTED FAREWELL.
