Unwavering Connection

All Relationships must begin

With a connection that starts within

It must be built on truth and trust

Instead of a mere fleeing lust

Honesty, though it is hard

won't damage like a liar's shard that cuts a deep betrayl.

A conerstone that must stand strong

Is a kindness that last all day long

Relationships must go deeper then the initial attraction,

It must be followed with genuine action

Looks and feelings will all eventually fade one day,

But relationships built on a caring heart

will weather any storm far more then flaky emotions could handle.

For there will be days that are dark and grim,

But forgiveness must be present with every sin

Respect between two souls

will create a beautiful diamond instead of black coal

These aspects will bring us much joy

Because they aren't looking to destroy.

An agape love must shine through

before you say "Because I Love You"

For this is how you will know

If true love will really show:

They will put you first in their life

for you are well worth the fight.

As humans at our core we are selfish

so we must find someone who is selfless

For this will be a true display

of a love that never fades.

That love will bring attention

to an unwavering connection

In all that we do

let loving relationships shine through
