Unworthy
Was is but a whisper away?
Catch the sight of hope before it fades.
I've watched the moment pass and saw
What remained of our love.
To admit when the story ends,
To turn the page and find a life unwritten.
Torn from the bind I've set myself in;
Can't pick up my wings and soar again?
But why can't I try
To live my life
Without you tearing me down?
And why shouldn't I
Be able to breathe
Without doubting myself?
So many tears shed for your sake,
Waiting in torment for it to make sense.
But I've watched the moment pass and saw
I've given everything in hopes to find your love.
I will be
My own priority
If no one else cares to treat me
Like a human being.
