Uplifted
That sad looking stranger who sits all alone,
In a room full of people, yet a world of their own,
You can't help but notice, intuition your guide,
You have to approach them to see what's inside,
Like a magnet they pull you, they need you to heal,
And as you start talking, their feelings you feel,
Understanding with a depth that you just can't explain,
With every word spoken you feel all their pain,
As they share their sad story so open and free,
You soak up their feelings, they're yours now you see,
But that's only one of an empath's main traits,
When next to that person filled with anger and hate,
Anxiety sets in, you're starting to shake,
Your energy drains and stomach now aches,
A curse or a gift, are you punished or blessed?
I have a gut feeling it's a special life test,
Meditation the key and a point I must share,
Especially for empath's who's boundaries aren't there,
My perception has changed now, I feel I've been gifted,
I feel privileged to witness a person uplifted
