Upon My Gaze

Roses are red, Violets are blue... Just kidding, that's not the poem that I wrote for you. What I wanted to write was something true. But the words, in hindsight, couldn't express my feelings of you. The words I wrote just never spoke. Nor expressed how wondrous you are. From up close or afar, And after a run too. That lovely mind, is what I find special in you. When you look tired, you're still admired. For no matter what you do, I can gaze at you And adore what I see. Do you know why? Because I'll always know beauty.
