the ups and downs of loving him

if loving him is a crime

then let me do the crime

nothing can compare to his love

and his love is all mine

its wrong but it feels right

he only comes over at night

his wife at home worrying about him

well he is out creeping till light

i wonder why he loves me

we can never agree

go home to her and leave me here

we could never ever be

he buys her many expensive gifts

his wife has many ifs

she wonder what he is doing

they are two passing shifts

he changes becomes true

she still has the blues

nothing can change her attitude

she cried about losing you

loving him was a crime

i really did do time

i was nothing but a place holder

and his love was never mine
