Upside down Christmas

green and red,

doors decorated and houses filled with cheer,

Christmas sweaters and hats,

the holiday is near,

candy and presents,

toys and wrapping paper,

elves and Santa,

the North pole and reindeer,

that certain holiday is near,

the one where I fake a smile when people asked what I am going to get,

the one where I enjoy looking at peopleś decorated yards,

the one where I fall asleep,

I sit at home with a bottle of apple juice,

I eat some candy,

I open a few presents,

it doesn´t matter if some barely have money,

it matters that we´re all together on this upside down christmas

Iḿ M, I like reading, writing, cooking, acting, and helping others. Good luck to other poets out there, and never give up on your dreams. No matter how hard it seems.
