Urban Balladeer

Underneath the MLA, APA, Chicago, plain English in general, they claim

Righteousness dictates that my native tongue is merely slang

But how is it that away from the suburbs and out in the streets we can    communicate more effectively?

Always a question to be bestowed upon those who deem terms "proper"

Never to forget that this is the street that raises young souls like me and therefore I am a prophet of the unheard voice of the road

Before you Google the second part of the name I'll tell you being a balladeer simply means you are awesome and

Anonymous to your short complex works, an unknown artist to the painful songs of your testimony

Looking  back you've always been the of the mysterious colt

Lurking in the shadows when the sun shines bright; moving across an open plain and still are invisible to the untrained eye.

Accessing the deep complexities within one's mind

Determining what is the next song or text going to teach the masses

Excitedly writing, typing, recording works--  Embedded with everlasting wisdom and originality shared with the world

Rightfully now being able to claim the title of not just a street poet but an Urban Balladeer
