Up To Us

They marched for freedom,

they fought for a difference.

They made a stand,

they died for their children.

We are the children,

the children of their future.

So it is up to us

to make that future brighter.

They struggled, they suffered,

they sacrificed so much.

But we are the new kids on the block,

so it is up to us.

It is up to us to be the best,

to be achieved, to be the change.

We must feel the pressure,

because to triumph, there will be pain.

In order to succeed,

you must learn from your fails.

And when you succeed,

there are sure to be betrayals.

We may only be young,

and not know a lot.

But it is up to us

to give all we've got.

It won't be easy,

and it won't be fast.

But the longer it takes,

the longer it will last.

Success will be hard and,

achievements take time to exist.

This period will be rigorous,

and you'll surely want to quit.

But it won't be the end,

we can't bite the dust.

Because in the long run,

it is always up to us.
