Up To Us
It's all up to me, every day, every moment.
Controlling emotions, or letting them flow in
and out. The poems of unheard
philosophers and photographers.
Capturing life with their words, crafting frames without needing names.
Unidentified flying thoughts and feelings
become recognized as parts of healing.
It's all up to me, to take this peelings
from the onion -- to cease tearing
and light up the dungeons.
Light up the world, light up the page.
From despair to clarity, we're called to the stage.
Bring on the waves, let the ebb and flow
guide words, and know
that it's all up to us.
