Us vs. Them

To them,

we are seen as weak and unworthy.

They show pride with their walking egos.

They have all right to maintain power.

They have the acceptance to silence our voices,

limit our actions, and insult our appearance.

We are their puppets.

They want to stay in control constantly, pulling our strings while they

lower our confidence with pathetic unrealistic views of what they find appealing.

They give us a name and place before we get to choose our own.

They have created a definition for us, but for what?

'Cause they will never be able to find the word.

We are secluded from dreams, passion, and talent.

They don't care about what we think,

what we say,

or what our interests are.

We show affection entirely, which is never enough

We exist only to benefit our self and sexually please them.

.

We do not have the right to be in control.

Our only option is to wed and be praised for playing the role they want us to play.

We are looked down upon and left to depend on dominant demanding men.

We cannot stand a chance against them.

They make money off of us; they make more money than us,

and they think, with money, they can purchase us.

We are like their slaves,

and we are forced to deal with painless torture.

We are told to tolerate our so called frail mentality

when we are already slowly successfully suffocating.

Every day, we are left to put up with dominant

male chauvinists of humanity.

With our physical appearance that sets us apart,

The lack of testosterone that make us less than,

Our femininity that is taken advantage of,

and our emotional attitudes being mistaken for weakness.

But somehow, they love us because they need us and

they hate us because they fear us.

Without us,

whom would they have to control?

As much as they feed off our existence

they constantly still seem to be starving.

This manner has easily

been accepted as the social norm.

They try their best to keep intimidating us,

'cause they know.

They know better than we know.

They know we can outsmart them,

they know we can overpower them,

they know we can take away their dignity and their pride.

We can break their rules and prove they are wrong

by displaying who we are as individuals

and what we stand for as a whole.

No one else deserves the right to define who we are but ourselves,

Not them,

'cause we will not be defined by the ignorance of men.
