From us to you
From us to you
It's time to get a clue
In the world of poverty hunger and sorrow
You're looking at the past instead of tomorrow
A game of chance a roll of the dice
Yet no one seems to think twice
That what we do has an effect
Look closely and see we are wrecked
We are the future you say
But hey
We don't want a world in shades of gray
We want to live to see another day
You have left us a world on fire
And your cutting it close to the wire
You have left this on us
We are still riding the school bus
You say that we're too young to understand
Yet it's our future you hold in your hands
It's our world too soon
But all the matters is what happening on the moon
You stand there well aware
There is so much to do, so much to repair
I stand here before you
Asking for a world of green and blue
Can you do better
Provide us a world for shelter
We need action
And that's not an overreaction
The future is in your hands
It's your turn to understand
