Use of Trees

some people think that being an open book is a good thing,

 but i disagree. 

find people around you 

who so fiercely desire to read your pages so much,

 they can’t put it down

 until they’ve read the whole thing. 

I’m scared that my book will be short 

that once they’ve finished my book they will 

seek a new one

Some people read the first page of my book, 

then read no further. 

some don’t open it. 

There are many readers, 

but there are few who inspire my pages.

This. this is one of the chapters 

to my book that only i have only

begun to write. 

the more i write, 

the more there is to read.

entertaining 

has always been a chore 

i have brought upon myself.

 i can’t judge them though. 

for some, 

they’re book only contains roughly six pages…

in sixteen point font. 

for one who is close to me, 

i fear i have been reading the same page

 for over a year now. 

his book never advances. 

my entertainment hasn’t either. 

nor has my intrigue.

 i don’t know how they do it. 

i’m torn

between spending the rest of my life

with someone who only needed 

a branch for his story, 

and never knowing the ending to the story.

i fear i’ll never know. 

but,

 the choice that seems to 

appeal to me the most 

is sitting in solitude, 

hands on keys, 

keys to book, 

advancing my story, 

based off of his.
