Used Deonna E. Chatham: Levitical_Lioness116 April 19,2023 I used to think the world of you I saw the galaxy in your eyes And in your thoughts I could discover myself I had questions about your mysteries And I was down to solve every piece that led me to discover you No I believed in you Until I started feeling like scum I couldn't wash it off in the shower Or soak away in the suds of something stronger than the feeling you used to leave on my subconscious I used to feel like I was suffocating When you used to leave me I couldn't breathe And I thought that I would die If you wasn't close enough I was addicted to you in every form I used to crave for you Like Stranger Things But you was forbidden fruit On the tree of good and evil But I still had to have you But my moral compass wouldn't settle I couldn't CNN Cause you were my breaking news The breaking point of my crazy I was spinning off my axis Trying to find my strength and the high ground within myself But every time your eyes was on me My insides were raging oceans Storms churning and changes beyond my control I couldn't trust me around you I couldn't trust you around me You kept making me feel butterflies in my stomach You had love seeping into my thoughts And I had to move fast Make a dash to the nearest exit I couldn't see my thoughts anymore I was too caught up in you Too busy trying to read my feelings I was all on my nomadic behavior Roaming without a real problem Just experimental decisions for fun I was running tight and on point Until I ran into the override My systems were overloaded And now I'm looking for myself in the daytime and in the darkness I been searching high and low But I keep running back to lost and found Comfort Zones And trauma units Just to operate on my own heart Open surgery Trying to fix this one issue My mind is stuck on a foggy forecast Cause I can't seem to move Superglue and glitter A glimpse of the greatest fall off My cup is half full But yet I still feel empty I'm still trying to find my own language My own voice without the spirals Without the fighting for power and pleasure I just need my own power plays My own thing Free from power shifts in your eyes Cause I lost my priceless possessions When I threw everything to the wind And now this is the nightmare that I keep reliving Always drowning in your eyes Walking through your world Trying to find the door to myself
