To the Used and Abused

I see your bruises

My Dear,

I see your scars.

You have been torn apart,

Piece by delicate piece.

I will try to sew you back together.

Here is my needle, and here is my thread.

Your tears slide down your cheeks silently,

but I can see them as if they were ink,

printing your pain on your face.

My Darling,

I can hear your screams,

they tell me your secrets.

Angel, spread your wings,

and fly away into the night,

shine with the stars

and let the sky hold you close.
