Used Me Up

Why did I know I was being used? Why do I now feel so broken, hurt, and confused? I gave him everything he ever asked me for. Now I see all these pieces of my heart, and it is strewn here in front out me out on the floor. He lied making false promises. Swearing he would never leave. I was a pitiful naive fool wearing my untamed heart on my sleeve. I spend each of my days alone. Hour after hour wondering why. He never calls on the phone, texts me, or even bothers to stop by. He will not even take a moment from his busy schedule to stop by and see, just how devastated and hopeless he has left me to be. Now I will make sure as I am ending it all, I will forever be etched into his memory I will become a thought he can not help but recall.
