Used Tissue

Heart as big as a giving child,

Forgiving as quick as the seconds passing by,

Maintaining faith in humanity even in this corrupted world,

Only to realize all you're left with is a hole in your chest where your heart should've been.

Showered many souls with infinite affection,

Believed in the source of happiness lying in the smile of others,

Gave many excuses to self when their eyes valued me as insignificant in return,

Oh, how I wish I stopped myself from getting placed in the same situation as a used tissue.

Change was needed,

Teaching my feet to stand again was a must,

Knowing the importance of self-worth was essential,

Realized the only person to be depended on for happiness is the one where my soul lives within.
