Usefulness

Some days I feel like I'm just a servant, a slave, a pawn replaceable and forgettable. Toss to the side like a used razor; "I lost my usefulness". The moment you rep the benefits of my labor and love you turn to me just to dismantle and dismay me to the gloomy shadows. I'm your wonderful blissful secret. I'm your guilty pleasure. I'm the one you wish you could show unconditional love. You're broken and tore from past experiences. I'm sorry ma I wasn't strong enough to break through your shackles....I'm sorry ma I couldn't be the son you wanted me to be. I'm sorry ma that I can't change how I feel. I'm sorry ma I can't change what I desire. I'm sorry I'm just your servant, pawn...toss aside replaceable and forgettable. " have I lost my usefulness ? ".

Poetry has helped me express my emotions. Poetry gave me words even when I could speak. Poetry has been my light in my dark room, gloomy, sad and afraid tormented searching for sunny and bright days. Poetry has kept me up when smile and emotions have been twisted down.
